BWB is an acronym we came up with one night. We figured that BFF didn't quite describe our fun and outgoing personalities so we made our own...What do you think it means???

Utah State Fair

The fair came to town and we decided it would be fun to go to!  We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals and people watch.  We were going to go watch some motor cross yesterday too but it got cancelled due to the rain...gotta love fall and its stormy weather!  Alicia and I were so excited to see a few friends there and chat for a minute with them.  And lest, you are concerned that we broke one of our rules by going by our lonesome, we did invite friends but tonight also happened to be adult stake conference session for most of them.  That's alright, we still had a blast!

Haha this dragon guy was in the family center.  There was a table with a whole bunch of bottles where they wanted you to guess the scent.  We didn't do very well!

Look at this guy's head!  He kept shaking it around too.  Kind of a funny looking bird.  :)
Alicia LOVES goats!  This little guy was our favorite and he even posed for the camera.

Apparently, Alicia and cows don't get along.  This one's giving us the evil eye.
 Look Ma!  I'm a farmer!
The sun was so bright you couldn't really see the ride lights behind us.
Tonight we realized how much taller I am than Alicia.  Somehow, she wears 4-inch heels and thinks she's taller than me...in her dreams!
Funnel cakes!  It wouldn't be a state fair without some good ol' fashioned treats!  I also got some delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade, and we were going to try a deep-fried snickers but the line was 45 minutes!
Funny how Alicia models the funnel cake and I just look like I'm about ready to shove my face into it!

A few highlights/funny moments of the night...
1.  Alicia wanted a picture with a goat but every time she turned her back to it, she got this terrified look in her eyes and kept saying, "You'll tell me if it's coming for me, right?!"  It took us three tries, but we finally got the picture!

2.  On our way out of the fairgrounds, this guy ahead of us was smoking, it wasn't until after he blew a bit, no, LARGE amount of smoke in my face that we realized he had a hookah and I had just breathed in marijuana.  Alicia teased that it was a good thing she was driving!  We couldn't believe he was just walking around the fair, smoking that while pushing his child in a stroller.
3.  When we got home, I asked Alicia to pop the trunk so we could get our purses out.  Instead of hitting the remote, what does she do?  She dropped it like it was hot!!  :)  We stood there laughing for a few minutes before we finally got them out.  And this is why we are friends :P

Luau

Time for a party!  Our local institute of religion was having a beginning of semester Luau to get people excited and meet new people.  We decided to go and ended up having a blast!  We met so many new people, watched some great Polynesian dances, ate some delicious food and quite enjoyed ourselves.  And don't worry, we invited a friend of ours to come along, but unfortunately she couldn't make it.

We were a little bummed as we headed over to see it overcast, muggy, and raining.  So it ended up being inside but fun all the same.

Its been a while...but we're back!

We both had a busy summer but we're back in school...me with my students and Leeshie at the U.  We decided to have an adventure with a friend of hers.  We got invited to go to a Bee's baseball game last Friday night and loved it.  Both of us LOVE baseball and I haven't ever seen the Bees play.  We even made some new friends.

Here's a few pictures from the night:

Dinner at Zupas...I found a Bee in my salad!

Our new friend Tim-Tim-Cheroo.  He had more fun than it looks like in this picture!
